cad encoding and archiving

Crescent Technologies offers several methods of converting drawings to a digital format such as scanning, vectorization, digitizing, and complete redraw (direct encoding), to support architectural, engineering and construction firms. Consultation is conducted to determine the most cost-effective approach to meet quantity, specific-standard detail, and schedule requirements. Our Web and FTP server are linked to the internet via high-speed connections, enabling us to receive and deliver digital information promptly.

Your drawings will be printed on our state-of-the-art plotters or deliver the output to you electronically via e-mail, zip disk, re-writable CD-ROM or download from our FTP Server.

We are committed to computer-aided design technology and are constantly updating and investing in new equipment to provide you with the best service. Our staff is trained to handle a full range of CAD/CAE applications.

Autocad Drafting / Encoding

To generate CAD drawings directly (direct encoding), we use AutoCAD software. Our CAD operators examine the actual dimensions, distances and coordinates from the original documents to create a CAD file. Each file is layered using a customized format, where each layer represents specific building elements. A 'test plot' is provided to ensure the highest degree of quality and accuracy for each CAD file. If errors are detected at any level, the file is returned to the original CAD operator for corrections. Once corrections have been made, the file then is plotted and reviewed for final approval.

Tablet Mode Digitizing

Tablet Mode Digitizing is use to trace geometry from an existing drawing or photograph into an AutoCAD drawing that simultaneously creates accurate dimensions in the AutoCAD model. Points digitized from the drawing or photograph represent actual coordinates. Final output can be stored in any preferred media in a format suitable for use with your CAD software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation etc.

Scanning and Vectorization

Crescent Technologies offers CAD Scanning to convert your hard copy drawings to an electronic/digital format. The raster image output can then be converted to vector format (vectorization) using raster-vector editing software, and can be stored in a CD-ROM in a format suitable for use with your CAD software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation etc.
